2009. In addition, a number of magazines are published on various topics, which serve to raise the
spiritual and educational level of the population.
Of course, magazines are very close to newspapers in their own way, because they tell
stories and events in words, just like newspapers. However, magazines do not duplicate a
newspaper, but supplement it. That is, if the newspaper reflected the social, political, economic,
cultural and educational life of society at the time, the layers of social life were described in detail
in the magazine. Therefore, a magazine is one of the unique media outlets that function on the basis
of the internal, objective rules of journalism. Like all types of journalism, magazines convey socio-
political, economic, scientific, aesthetic, and other information. However, the difference between
this information and the news in the newspaper concerns the situations of the deeper layers of social
life. In other words, to put it simply, the social function of journalistic analysis is the leading one on
the pages of the magazine. At the same time, the journal takes an active part in the descriptive task
of journalism. In this, it serves to deeply reveal the inner content of events and stories. Journals also
deeply reveal issues related to science and education, culture, literature, art, economics, ecology,
and other topics, contribute to their development, and become the basis for forming public opinion
about them.
In addition to various official, artistic-literary, scientific materials, a special place in journals
is occupied by publicism. This is reflected in journalistic journals, which are a unique form of
depicting public life and are aimed at in-depth analysis of real events. However, journal publicism
differs from newspaper publicism in its breadth, that is, in its size. Magazines make extensive use of
socio-political, scientific, artistic, and literary types of journalism. And in satirical magazines
satirical journalism is a type of satire and humor, that is aimed at laughter - satirical journalism is
widely used. One type of photojournalism occupies a special place in journals.
In terms of genres, articles, interviews, and reviews, which are analytical genres of
publicism, are often found in magazines, with the essay genre occupying a broader place than the
fiction and journalistic genres. News genres are rarely used in magazines because news genres
require operationalization and magazines do not take operational responsibility.
In general, the publication of a magazine is seen as a uniquely successful means of
communication, which delivers information to the public, influencing the formation and
development of opinions on specific issues or topics. If a newspaper puts immediacy first, then a
magazine will not be charged with the responsibility to comprehensively examine issues relating to
all aspects of life, to analyze situations and events in depth, and to monitor them.
