KINESIO TAPING FOR TINNITUS

• Kinesio taping is a method to relieve muscular tension and to treat pain

• It was invented by Dr Kenzo Kase

• Elastic cotton tape is used

How does it work?

• Kinesio tape is supposed to lift the skin and tension is relieved from the subcutaneus area

• It is thougt to do endogenous analgetic activation through beta-neurons in spinal area

• It might also act inhibitory in formatio reticularis

• Some of my patients seem to have longer tinnitus-free periods when i combine tapes to spray and stretch and trigger-point needling
