The subject is the structural –semantic features of the phrasal verbs in English.
According to this general aim the following tasks are put forward:

  1. to give deep view of various types of the verbs and phrasal verbs in English;

  2. to reveal types of the phrasal verbs and their classification;

  3. to reveal the status of the phrasal verbs and their semantics;

  4. to analyse the use of the phrasal verbs in different examples.

The methods of investigation used in this research are as following: complex approach to the study of the syntactic and semantic structures including in English structural, distributional way of analysis of the English languages units.
Methodological basis of the research is Decrees of the President of Republic Uzbekistan about development of languages, educations and sciences, the national program on a professional training, and also basic researches in the field of the theory of linguistics in particular theoretical grammar and lexicology.
The novelty of the work is determined by the translation of the linguistic forms given in original translation, concrete results of the investigation, which is to distribute into various tables and specificity of the linguistic status of the phrasal verbs, indication of the lexical and grammatical of a basis contextual –semantic analysis.
Theoretical value is that it can serve basis for studying the phrasal verbs in different types of the contexts widely. It will allow understanding deeply importance of studying the contextual features because this kind of the phrasal verbs is most of the helpful to describe with the help of the semantic primitives. It will be replenished with the big speed of their occurrence frequency.
Practical value of this work is that the theoretical positions of this paper
can be used in delivering lectures and seminars on lexicology, translation.
