The fifteenth article was related to the transfer of Armenians from Iran to the South Caucasus (although it was not specifically stated in the agreement, this was the general agreement). The last article touched upon the issues of informing localities about the peace and its ratification.[4] The treaty was ratified by Russia in March 1828 and by the Khajars in July. The Treaty of Turkmenchay was the heaviest among the treaties signed by Iran with Britain, France, Russia and the Ottoman Empire in the 19th century.now.

Articles

Article II — All His Holiness the Emperor of Russia and His Holiness the Shah of Iran respectfully acknowledge that the mutual engagements between the high parties who agreed, and which have now fortunately ended, have been terminated by virtue of the Treaty of Gulistan; they considered it necessary to replace the said Gulistan treaty with the present conditions and decisions, which should establish and confirm the relations of peace and friendship between Russia and Iran for the near and distant future.
