• The number of new cases of cancer is 439,2 per 100,000 men and women per year
• The new number of cancer deaths is 163,5 per 100,000 men and women
• Cancer mortality is highest in African men (239,9 per 100,00) and lowest in Asian women (88,3 per 100,000)
• In 2017, an estimated 15,270 children and adolescence ages 0 to 19 were diagnosed with cancer and 1,790 died of the disease
• The number of cancer survivors is expected to increase to 20,3 million by 2026

Relevance of the topic

The Uzbek health ministry says that in every year, there were 15000-20000 people suffer from cancer, about a third of the population.

In order to prevent and control cancer, Uzbekistan has signed some decrees with foreign countries. Additionally, not only our country but also so many countries are fighting with cancer. For example, the forum called "International Cancer Control leadership" that organized for the first time in Tashkent, included 250 participants, with the participation of representatives from Central Asian countries, The United States, Armenia, Belarus, the Russian Federation, Turkey.

To improve awareness of people in terms of cancer

To cure sick people in early stage and decrease the amount of death

To increase the amount of healthy population.

To ask Ministry of Education and Health to send medical students to spend their practical skills in policlinics of rural areas.( as a volunteering group)
