  1. Explain usage and formation of Present Simple tense (affirmative, negative and interrogative) and make up sentences.

Answer:
The Present Simple tense in English is used to describe actions or situations that are generally considered to be true or are regularly occurring. Here are the formations for affirmative, negative, and interrogative sentences:
Affirmative:
Subject + verb (s/es for third person singular) + objects
Example: She drinks coffee in the morning.
Negative:
Subject + do/does + not + verb + objects
Example: They do not like spicy food.
Interrogative:
Do/does + subject + verb + objects?
Example: Do you eat breakfast every day?

  1. Explain usage and formation of Past Simple Tense (affirmative, negative and interrogative)

The Past Simple Tense is used to describe a completed action at a specific time in the past. To form the affirmative past simple, add "-ed" to regular verbs or use the second form of irregular verbs. For negative sentences, use "did not" before the base form of the verb. To form interrogative sentences, use the auxiliary verb "did" at the beginning of the sentence and invert the subject and verb order. Here are some examples:
Affirmative:
- I walked to the store yesterday.
- She played soccer last weekend.
- They visited their grandparents last month.
Negative:
- I did not study for the test.
- He did not finish his homework last night.
- We did not go to the concert.
Interrogative:
- Did you see the movie last night?
- Did she sing in the choir at church?
- Did they travel abroad last summer?
