Theme: Functional , statistical and correlational dependence . Linear regression for grouped data

Presentation work of Hamidov Jasurbek, a student of group 9-21, Faculty of Civil Engineering, Fergona Polytechnic Institute, in Mathematics

Correlation is a connection in which different values correspond to each value of the factors, not the exact values of the resulting sign in different time and space conditions . A characteristic feature of correlational links is that the full number of factors is unknown. In addition, only approximate expressions of correlation bonds can be written using formulas. The word correlation is derived from the Latin word "correlation" and has the dictionary meaning of mutual relation, compatibility , connection. English biologist and statistician Francis Galton introduced this term to the science of statistics at the end of the 19th century. At that time, this word was written in the form of "correlation" (correlation ), and it was not a simple connection ( co r r elation), but had a meaning closer to connection, because the word connection nis ba tan is usually used only for binding in functional form. In the field of science in general, the term "correlation" was used by the French paleontologist George Couvé at the end of the 18th century.

  • In the study of correlational connections, two types of problems are cross-sectional. One of them is to evaluate how closely there is a connection between the phenomena (signs) under study . This is the task of the method called correlation analysis.

Correlation analysis is based on determining correlation coefficients and evaluating their importance and reliability. The correlation coefficient is found to determine whether or not there is a correlation between two signs. Numerical values of the studied symbol obtained as a result of measurements are written.
