ACTIVITY OF THE AZERBAIJANI 

INTELLIGENCE IN THE SYSTEM  

OF THE SOUTH CAUCASUS STATE

Abstract. The article is dedicated to the history of 

the Azerbaijan national movement in the early 20th 

century.  The  way  of  evolution  of  the  Azerbaijani 

national  ideology  against  the  background  of  the 

social-political  and  cultural-economic  changes 

happened in the world during the mentioned period 

is  analysed.  The  article  gives  detailed  information 

about  the  position  of  the  Azerbaijani  national 

ideology  against  the occupation  by  the  bolsheviks, 

the strength of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic 

and the power of the  influence of  the international 

forces  for  the  occupation  of  Azerbaijan  by  Russia 

for the second time.
