Abstract.
In the article, the fact that free economic zones are based on the main strategic
transformations affecting the entire economic infrastructure of the society and give it a strong stimulus, as a
result of which the creation of conditions for achieving national strategic goals was considered in the Chinese
experience of FEZs, and the feasibility of using this experience for Russia was justified.
It was emphasized that currently the process of creating new free economic zones is on the list of the
most important priorities of the world economy. Work on the establishment of a free economic zone in the
People’s Republic of China (PRC) has been going on for decades. It was emphasized that the existence of
these zones is an important factor in the development of the economy in many ways and is one of the decisive
factors in achieving the second position in the world (after the USA) in terms of nominal GDP.
Open economic zones for international cooperation located at the junction of the borders of the Russian
Federation, the People’s Republic of China (PRC) and the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK)
have been discussed.
